Therapy

Support that brings connection, change and growth

What is therapy?

Therapy or talking therapy is an opportunity for you to explore the things in life that may be troubling you or giving you concern. This exploration takes place in a therapeutic relationship with someone who is qualified, experienced and independent, in an environment that is confidential,

non-judgemental, safe, collaborative and curious. Under these conditions and within this relationship, your exploration may lead you to find within yourself answers, healing, meaning and purpose that may lead to you living a more content and fulfilled life.

What can I help with?

I can offer support with many issues. Below is a list of some of these. The list is not exhaustive so if your issue or concern is not there, please contact me so that we can discuss your needs.

Abuse, addictions, anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, gender identity, health related issues, identity issues, loss, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, sexuality, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation, trauma.

What therapies do I offer?

I primarily work within the Humanistic Approach which consists of Existential, Gestalt and Person Centred therapies. These are underpinned by the Phenomenological Approach.

Other therapies or techniques I may bring into our therapy sessions are:

Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy.

These will be offered to you in a pluralistic manner. This means that the therapies and techniques I offer are because I have considered your therapeutic needs and the benefits of each therapy and technique.

  • Adults

  • Older Adults

How long are the therapy sessions?

Sessions last 50 minutes. This is known as a therapeutic hour.

Sessions may be short or long term. This means they can last from one to six weeks or to many more. During our first session together we will discuss your needs and attempt to determine how many sessions may be suitable. At regular intervals we will review our work together and consider whether more or less sessions would be appropriate.

When and where does therapy take place?

Therapy sessions are available Monday to Thursday between 9am and 9pm. The sessions can take place via three mediums; face-to-face, online and telephone.

Face-to-face sessions are available at either my business address or at a location in Gosport town centre, details of these will be given when booking a session. One of these locations is able to cater for any mobility needs you may have.

Online sessions are offered through Zoom.
